Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification

His Excellency Engineer Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor, Chairman of the board of directors of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services received the certification from Ian Gibbons, Deputy Consul-General of British Embassy in Dubai in presence of Ahmed Al Khatib, General Manager of British Standard Institute(BSI) and Khalifa Hassan Al Darrai, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.

HE Eng. Al Maidoor said the certification is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of the members of the ambulance services. He emphasised on the need to continue on the path of excellence and highlighted the importance of international accreditations and certifications which help set benchmarks for the institution to follow.

Al Maidoor said such certifications are essential to help set standards of quality and excellence.

Al Darrai said that the ambulance services began the process of preparing for this certification since April 2011. He said several workshops and training programs were undertaken during the course of this time.

Al Darrai said the work of the ambulance services is challenging and commitment driven and that every member is dedicated to providing the highest quality of services to their community.
